  1. Stick to your financial boundaries. It’s most fun to treat yourself when you know you can afford it. 

  2. Be thoughtful. An impulsive choice might be fun in the moment, but will it continue to bring you joy over time? Consider spending on an experience where happiness boosts come from planning, living and remembering. 

  3. Be true to yourself. Consider where you feel depleted and figure out how to care for yourself. You may find that addressing your emotional needs will provide longer lasting results than a quick-fix purchase. 

Whether you plan a tech-free pajama day at home or a week-long vacation, wrap up 2023 by giving yourself what you need. Put your name on your gift list and take care of you.
