Keep Calm and Stay Home
It’s important to be alert, not anxious, as we tackle COVID-19. Fear only drives unreasonable behavior that can cause more issues than disease itself. Check on your neighbors. Write a letter to someone you’ve missed. Give people grace. We’re all doing our best!
You can follow these standard precautions to prevent the spread of any infectious disease:
Stay home, except to get medical care.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick in your household.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Your esthetician will also thank you!
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (might we suggest singing Maggie Rogers “Light On”?)
Your public health officials are here to help. The Ohio Department of Health has opened a call center to answer questions regarding coronavirus and update you about the risk in Ohio. Licensed nurses and infectious disease experts are available to answer your questions 7 days a week from 9:00am to 8:00pm and can be reached at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634).
