Meet Aline Silva, Brazilian Olympic Wrestler, Tokyo 2020-Bound and Social Impact Entrepreneur

Hello! My name is Aline Silva and I am a Brazilian Olympic Wrestler, headed for Tokyo 2020 and Social Impact Entrepreneur. To say my life has been easy would be a lie- but my story of change, resilience and determination has led me to today: on the Road to Tokyo.

At 11 years old, I fell into alcohol induced coma, and changed my life thanks to the transformational agent of sport. My Mom, in an attempt to keep me off the streets as a single mother, enrolled me into a new school that offered extracurricular activities such as Judo. This immersion gave me my new love, influenced my behavior and mindset to rise to the very top. I was the first medalist for Brazil in Wrestling, winning Silver at the World Cup and recently Bronze at the 2021 Pan American Games.

Watch me in action in Tokyo Sat July 30 @ 10:00pm ET and Mon August 2 @ 5:00am ET
